We hope to inspire your creativity with the projects we share here. We are home schoolers and love to be different, learn new things and have fun. We try to be as open minded as possible and when people say you should do something in a certain way, we ask why? Why should we follow suit? We are all unique and process things in different ways, so we should be free to express ourselves in our own way.

Check out our About Us page for more information about us and what we do.

I hope this brings you creative joy and inspiration.

Stitch Counter App by Bogle Designs

The “Stitch Counter” is an app that counts stitches, rows and repeat rows. It allows you to name your project and have more than one project saved. It saves automatically, too. You can pick between ‘simple’ and ‘advanced’ views. The ‘simple’ view allows you to record rows by tapping on the screen for each count. The ‘advanced’ view allows you to record stitches and rows along with how many repetitions of those group of stitches or rows you have done. You can adjust the settings at any time throughout a project by clicking the 3 dots in the bottom right hand corner. Then you select ‘settings’ when the ‘welcome to stitch counter’ box pops up. The settings allow you to set the ‘stitch multiplier’, which if, for example, you set it as 6, every time you tap the screen it will add 6 stitches to your stitch count. You can set how many repeat rows as well, so if you set it as 3, every time you reach 3 rows it will add 1 to your repetition total and reset the row counter to 0. This enables you to know where in the row repetition you are, as well as how many rows you have done altogether. In addition to this, you can change the background, delete the project or reset the project. The time is also clearly displayed in the top right hand corner so you can note when you start and finish. I was going to point out that the only thing you cannot do is make notes but upon looking at the app for this review I have found that you can. “Notes” is at the top centre of the screen (what a numpty I am).

I came across the Stitch Counter app in a magazine but couldn’t use it because it wasn’t available for my device. When I upgraded my device this year as a birthday treat, I came across the app on the Amazon Underground, making it completely FREE (you know by now that I love a freebie). The app is incredibly easy to use and navigate around. The text and numbers are large and clear. It is the perfect counter for all crocheters and knitters, especially those crafting on the go. There is no need to stop and pick up a pen, or twist the sides of a manual counter. All you need to do is tap the screen while you still hold on to your work. The cost of this app on the Google Play store is £1.19 and on the Amazon app store (if you don’t want to use the underground) is £0.63.

All in all it is a practical and useful app that would be a great addition to your crafting projects. I give it a 5 out 5 for doing exactly what it says in the description, as well as for being very affordable.
