We hope to inspire your creativity with the projects we share here. We are home schoolers and love to be different, learn new things and have fun. We try to be as open minded as possible and when people say you should do something in a certain way, we ask why? Why should we follow suit? We are all unique and process things in different ways, so we should be free to express ourselves in our own way.
Check out our About Us page for more information about us and what we do.
I hope this brings you creative joy and inspiration.
Recently, my brothers and I, made decoupage tissue boxes. Decoupage is a decorative technique in which a design is made of either cut out pieces of printed paper glued onto surfaces, or, pattern tape stuck onto surfaces. You can buy paper mache items and stick different patterned paper or tape onto it. You can make either an ornament or storage item. You can also decorate book covers, folders and other items in this way. If you have a piece of household furniture that is tired and old, you can style it up with decoupage. Hobbycraft have a lot of inspiration of their blog for different projects. We bought a lot of the supplies from Hobbycraft:
We decorated our boxes in our own way. We glued the paper to some of the sides and then added the tape to the other sides. Then we added a layer of PVA glue over the paper to make it last longer. It’s really fun, easy and quick to do. It made a great home schooling project and gave us something usable at the end of it!
